"The message for the Republican establishment is clear, if you stick with our core values of less government, lower taxes, protection of marriage and innocent human life, you win! If you stray, you pay!" stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition.
"Furthermore, it also shows the limited coattails of this president and a clear rejection of his extremis policies, it would now appear that healthcare is dead for the year as a result of these elections!" concluded Verdugo.
Also, in an election that had been billed for weeks as too close to call, Maine's often unpredictable voters repealed a state law Tuesday that would have allowed same-sex couples to wed. Homosexual marriage has now lost in all 31 states in which it has been put to a popular vote — a trend that the gay-rights movement had believed it could end in Maine.
"We now call on homosexual extremist groups all across the country to stop the divisiveness, hate, bigotry and intolerance of trying to push an agenda America has already clearly rejected, not one time, but 31 times!" stated Verdugo.
